TAP Air Portugal starts today direct operations from Zagreb to Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. The new route will be served with three weekly flights operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departures from Zagreb will be at 01:25pm with scheduled arrival at Lisbon at 03:50pm. Out of Lisbon, flights operate on the same days, departing at 8:00 am with scheduled arrival at Zagreb at 12:05 am.
“We are extremely pleased to inaugurate our new route to Zagreb, which allows Croatians to come visit Portugal this summer. It also allows Portuguese traveling to Zagreb, the Croatian coast, and Dubrovnik a non-stop option instead of flying via other European cities. Finally, it further enhances Lisbon’s position as the best European gateway as the flights to Zagreb are timed to connect to our extensive network in the Americas and Africa. Launching this new route is also an important sign of recovery in the tourism and aviation sector. We reinforce our commitment, guaranteeing all passengers a Clean&Safe environment at all stages of their journey and a flexible booking policy.”, said Arik De, Chief Revenue & Network Officer at TAP Air Portugal.
“We are glad to see TAP Portugal back in Zagreb, following a five year hiatus.” said Yavuz Aytis, Route Development Manager of Zagreb Airport. “This route will not connect the two capital cities only. Thanks to TAP Portugal’s extensive network at Lisbon, travelers will have access to the continents of Americas and Africa, as well as to the Adriatic coast via domestic flights at Zagreb. Recovery of Zagreb – Lisbon flights will further strengthen Zagreb Airport’s position as a regional gateway to the South-East Europe and Adriatic.”
